Welcome to Silicon Valley Asian American Voices!
Through film, dialogue, and multimedia tools, Silicon Valley Asian American Voices deepens understanding of immigrant experiences and contributions, bridges relationships between diverse communities, and inspires people to take action in support of immigrant newcomers. We share the stories of Asian American immigrants in order to put a human face on the complex opportunities and challenges related to immigration in our communities, and to forge greater understanding and increased cooperation among our diverse region.

Nenita, an elderly Filipina woman, works hard as a room attendant in the hotel industry. Despite workplace injuries and mounting health issues, she cannot afford to visit the doctor or take time off. In response, Nenita is an active member of the union committee, advocating for workplace changes that will improve the lives of those around her. Her hope lies in the dream that one day her children will receive green cards and join her in America.
